William "Bill" C. Gaw

William C. "Bill" Gaw, 83, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away February 22, 2026, at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.

He was born on September 2, 1942, in Overton County, TN to David and Ora (Terry) Gaw. William graduated from the American School in Chicago, IL. He retired from Guide Lamp, division of General Motors after thirty- two years of service.

Bill enjoyed going to Flea Markets; was a member of the UAW 663; loved to collect toys; and enjoyed his family.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Brian) Ireton of Pendleton; step-children, Kay (Dick) Flora of FL, Jeanne (Jerry) Coovert of Plainfield, LeAnne Silver of Anderson, and Nancy (Steve) Hill of Anderson; brother, Max J. (Lois) Gaw of Anderson; 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his good friend, Eddie (Jan) Roberts of Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his two wives Barbara (Huntzinger) Gaw, and Janice Gaw; his parents; and his brother Clyde Gaw.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on February 27, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz- Diedring Chapel, with Rev. James Harrison officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday at the Funeral Home.
