William "Bill" Raleigh Berkebile, a vibrant spirit who embraced life with passion and joy, passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on June 18, 1974, to Earl Berkebile and Patricia (Quackenbush) Norris.
Bill's journey began at Vincennes University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in law enforcement. However, his true calling came when he ventured into carpentry, joining the Carpenters Local Union #1016, where he honed his craft and showcased his dedication to his work.
A lover of music, Bill's spirit thrived in the melodies of artists such as Billy Strings, the Grateful Dead, and the Dave Matthews Band. He found peace and joy in nature, whether he was kayaking on serene waters, hunting in lush landscapes, or basking in the sun and sand by the beach. Every moment spent outdoors reflected his free-spirited essence and his appreciation for the beauty surrounding him.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Dru (Amanda) Berkebile and Dylan (Emma) Berkebile; parents, Earl (Debbie) Berkebile and Patricia (Greg) Norris; granddaughter, Irelynd Alice Berkebile; siblings, Stacy Surface, Carol Aynes, Shelly Berkebile, Tyler (Meghan) Norris, and Lindsey Norris; nephews and nieces, Jordan Aynes, Chelsea Aynes, Lexi Aynes, Ember Ballenger, Charlie Ardery, Ellen Ardery, and Margaret Ardery; and dear friend, Uncle (JR).
