Wendell Eugene Vaughn

Wendell Eugene Vaughn, 82, of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away on May 10, 2021 at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on August 23, 1938 in Wayne County, Kentucky to the late Theo and Minnie (Abbott) Vaughn. Wendell had worked as a machinist for Schwitzer Corporation for 22 years. He was baptized at Lick Creek Baptist Church in Ritner, Kentucky and attended various churches throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening, yardwork and time with his family. He is survived by his children, Kim (Mark) Hanshew, Kevin (Karla) Vaughn; grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley) Hanshew, Luke (Emily) Vaughn, Logan Vaughn; great grandchildren, Hadleigh and Reagan Hanshew, Elodie Vaughn; siblings, Conley (Carol) Vaughn, Ronnie (Patty) Vaughn, Frank (Rose) Vaughn, Wayne (Lisa) Vaughn and Kenney Vaughn; sisters-in-law, Lin (David) Garretson, Trisha Thompson; brothers-in-law, Randy (Rhonda) Thompson and Mike Nichols. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Vaughn; siblings, Carlos Vaughn, Mary Vaughn, Ethel Vaughn, Wanda Nichols and Glenna Vaughn; brother-in-law, Bud Thompson. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Dickey family and Les Adam. A private family service will take place.
