Virgil "Bub" Michael, Jr.

Virgil "Bub" Michael, Jr., 61, of Canaan, Indiana, left us on September 3, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1965, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Virgil Wayne Michael, Sr. and Lois (Russell) Michael. He shared a beautiful life with his loving wife, Chalice (Slade) Michael.

Bub was known for his warmth and humor. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or just cruising around on his bike. He brought joy to everyone around him and cherished every moment he could spend with family and friends.

Bub is survived by his devoted wife, Chalice Michael; stepdaughter, Summer Thompson; step-grandson, Hunter Day; siblings, Lora Lawson and Mark (Michelle) Michael; aunt, Judy Stanley; 6 nieces and nephews; several great nieces, and great nephews who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Landon Michael.

A private family burial will take place at a later date and time per Bub's wishes.
