Thomas "Tom" William Inglis, Jr., 60, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born on June 29, 1965 in Anderson to Thomas Inglis, Sr. and Rebecca (Trueblood) Inglis.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Tom enlisted in the United States Air Force and faithfully served our country until his honorable discharge in 1988. One year after his discharge, Tom re-enlisted in the United States Navy and fearlessly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1992. Due to his work in the military, Tom was able to continue his mechanical career at Community Hospital where he worked as a maintenance technician.
Tom married his loving wife, Tamra "Tammy" (Stanley) Inglis and the two were married for many years.
Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his father and his sons. He enjoyed tinkering, working on anything mechanical, and flying. He had learned to fly before he learned how to drive a car! Most importantly, Tom adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment he spent with them.
Tom will be dearly missed by his parents, Thomas and Rebecca; wife, Tammy; children, Yuki and Kathy Inglis, John and Micha Inglis, Kristyn and Darrin Campbell, and Ashley and Shawn Brantlinger; grandchildren, Brittany (Clint), Brian (Michele), Emma (Zach), Peyton, Riley, Mason, Colton, Landon, Kinley, Malaki, Mikayla, Kelson, Kamden, Langston, Karson, and Lu; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet and Jerry Ramsey; mother-in-law, Rebecca Black; mother-in-law, Joyce Stanley; sister-in-law, Melissa and Tracy Philips; brothers-in-law, Mike and Kristie Stanley and John Clark; and fur-babies, Vincent and Violet.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Adrian Black; father-in-law, Phil Stanley; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Opal Trueblood; and paternal grandparents, James and Colleen Inglis.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Community North Cancer Team and Heart To Heart Hospice for their amazing care during Tom's final moments.
