Therese Anne Pursley

Therese Anne Pursley, 94, of Anderson passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on October 3, 1930 in Anderson to the late Wojciech and Kazimiera (Jaglowska) Kuklenski. Therese married the love of her life, James Pursley, and the two were married for 64 years before his passing in 2019. She found her spiritual home at St. Ambrose Catholic Church and had been a faithful member for many years. Therese enjoyed playing Bingo, ceramics, decorating cakes, dancing, soap operas, and being a member of the Polish Club. She also collected lighthouses. Therese was selfless and would put everyone's needs above her own. She was the most giving person you could ever know and she loved her family fiercely.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, James (Diane) Pursley, Robert (Sarah) Pursley, and Laura (Christopher) Klaus; grandchildren, Katherine (Chris) Hollenbeck, Kristin (Steve) Sherman, Michael (Suzannah) Pursley, Steven Pursley, Elizabeth Pursley, Gillian Sundquist, and Bronwyn Sundquist; eight great-grandchildren; and her extended family and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; son, Patrick Pursley; three brothers; and five sisters.
