Terry K. Clark, 74, of Pendleton, IN, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2026, while vacationing in one of his favorite places—Indian Shores, FL. While his passing was unexpected, there is some comfort in knowing he was doing what he loved: enjoying life.
Born on October 7, 1951, in Anderson, IN, Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, and two great friends, Bill Wise and Greg Tipton—no doubt already sharing stories and laughs together again.
Terry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janie Clark, who was not only his partner in life but his steady companion through every chapter. He also leaves behind his sons, Troy Clark (Natalie) and Chad Clark (Claire) , along with his four grandchildren—Cas, Murray, Charleigh, and Sutton—who quickly became the center of his world.
He is also survived by many extended family members, including nieces and nephews, and close friends Don Riggs, Sean Murphy (brother-in-law), and many others—people who shared in the stories, laughter, and good times that Terry seemed to create wherever he went.
A graduate of Markleville High School, Terry went on to attend Ball State University before beginning a long and dedicated career with General Motors as a skilled tradesman for 31 years before retiring.
After retirement, Terry and Janie spent nearly 20 years in Indian Shores, FL, a place that became home in more ways than one. Whether it was time with friends, time by the water, or simply soaking in the moment, Terry knew how to live life.
Terry was a man who valued family above all else. He was known for his strong work ethic, his steady presence, and his ability to enjoy life to the fullest. Whether he was spending time with friends or making memories with his family, his fun-loving spirit was always evident. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and never missed an opportunity to spoil.
Terry will be remembered as a hardworking man who didn’t take life too seriously, a devoted husband, a proud dad, and an even prouder peepaw. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, a lot of laughs, and a family that will carry his spirit forward.
