Terri Kempher, 62, of Rochester, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2025. Born on April 12, 1963, to Robert and Judith Huffman, Terri touched the lives of many throughout her time with us.
A graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, Terri went on to study at Ivy Tech Community College. While working as an accountant at the Anderson Herald Bulletin, she also had a soft spot for waitressing at Twedles Diner, where her infectious smile always brightened the room.
Terri was a true woman of faith, most recently attending The Cross Church in Rochester. Each morning, you could find her sipping her coffee while listening to her favorite Christian music. She was a selfless person who found joy in baking and creating memories with her family while camping. Holidays were her highlight, where she would show off her incredible cooking skills and bring everyone together.
In her younger years, she was a track star and loved playing coed softball. Her family often enjoys thinking about her funny habit of dozing off during movies, always turning those moments into laughter.
Terri is survived by her children, Jessica Young, Stephanie (Christian) Marin, Brooke Kempher, and Kyra (Adam) Hughes; Four siblings, Troy (Sabrina) Huffman, Tammy Abbott, Rene (Bob) Veith, and Shelly Wilder; Eight grandchildren, Riley, Irene, Aaliyah, Ivanna, Valerie, Arianna, Elijah, and Caleb. Terri is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry W. Lee.
