Steven B. Gentry was born on September 28, 1949, the third and youngest son of Karl L. Gentry and Mildred (French) Gentry in Noblesville, Indiana.
He is retired from UAW 663 at Guide Lamp, Marion Metal Center GM after 30 years of service. He worked at many jobs over his lifetime, including Gentry Cabinets when laid off from GM.
He enjoyed re-enactments, camping, rendezvous, fishing, and hunting. He hunted deer, wild boars, and bear with bow and arrow.
He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother, Kenny.
He is survived by his wife, Karla (Fulton) Gentry; brother, Richard (Sandy) Gentry; his two stepchildren, Kristen(Justin) Burnau of North Carolina and Matt Telfer of Anderson, Indiana; six grandchildren, Nolan, Emma, and Kaiden Telfer and Sebastien, Cosette and Esme Burnau.
He was a faithful member of Perkinsville Community Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Bozell Funeral Home, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor John Pflum, Pastor Pat Vance and Dr. Mark Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Perkinsville Cemetery, 9400 West 8th Street Road, Anderson, Indiana 46011.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
