Stan Rockhold

Stan Rockhold, 71, Lapel, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at his home following a brief illness.
He was born on September 25, 1946, in Anderson to Robert and Donna C. (Herron) Rockhold.
Stan was graduated from Lapel High School in 1965 and received a Bachelors degree from Ball State.
He was a U. S. Marine veteran and had served in Viet Nam where he was awarded five bronze medals.
Stan retired as a concrete finisher in 2008.
He was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 212; the Noblesville V. F. W. Post 6246; and the Lapel Eagles Aerie 4323.
Stan is survived by six children, Steven, Tammie, Robin, Stanley, Jr., Matthew, and Cory; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one twin brother, Steve; and a sister, Wilma Griffin-Gruel Stiffey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Michelle.
A celebration of Stans life will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm at the Lapel American Post 212, 1600 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
