Sally Leann Dishman

Sally Leann Dishman, 79, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent – Anderson, following an extended illness. She was born on June 15, 1944 in Anderson, Indiana to Edward and Sarah Detienne.

Sally attended Anderson High School and worked many different jobs throughout her life. As a widowed mom for the majority of her life, the most important thing in life was to provide for her family. She worked as a cashier in retail, also in the serving industry, and factory work. She loved her cats and decorating her home, especially for the holidays. Sally loved her family dearly most importantly, her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children, Darlene “Dar” Detienne and Waylon (spouse, Paige) Dishman; Siblings, Sarah (spouse, Jerry) Buckner, Edward Dietenne, Sr., Edwin Dietenne, Edmond Dietenne, Earl Dietenne; Five grandchildren, Kayla Carpenter, Amara Dishman, Alexa Dishman, Chance Williams, and Branson Williams; Three great-grandchildren, X’ander, Ellie, Ma’Laney.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Dishman, and her siblings, Sondra, Shirley, and Sharon Holcomb.

Private services will take place at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53^rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
