Roberta J. Wood

Roberta J. Wood, 72, Noblesville, went to be with her Lord on Friday April 9, 2004 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born on July 24, 1931 in Noblesville, Indiana daughter of Conrad and Ruby (Barr) Alsup. She attended Fortville United Pentecostal Church and had lived all her life in the Noblesville area. She is survived by four daughters; Beth (husband, Larry) Ingle of Westfield, Trudy (husband, David) Scherer of Lapel, Chris (husband, Mike) Bannon of Noblesville, and Marla (husband, Mark) Lasley of Anderson; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Bauer of Westfield, and one brother Richard Alsup of Noblesville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Marvin E. Wood; a daughter Tina Wood; and brothers Russell Alsup, Jim Alsup, Robert Alsup and Frank Alsup. A Private funeral will be held by the family with Rev. Bill Lambert officiating. Friends may call 4:00 PM 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, Lapel.
