Robert Carson Graves

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Carson Graves, 76, who left us on September 12, 2025, at his home in Anderson, Indiana, after a brief illness. Born on January 15, 1949, in Harlan County, Kentucky, Robert was the son of Robert P. and Emma Jean (Moore) Graves.

After finishing high school at Madison Heights in 1967, Robert went on to Anderson University, graduating in 1973. He dedicated many years of his life to Ford Motor Company, working as a Tool Maker until his retirement in 2006.

Robert was a true lover of golf. Whether repairing or building golf clubs, it brought him great joy. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

He is survived by his wonderful wife, Diana (Reeves) Graves, and his son Joseph Graves, along with his daughter-in-law Kristi. Robert was a proud grandfather to Josie and Lucas Graves, and he leaves behind many other loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. 

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can come together to honor his memory. Details of the service will be shared soon.
