Robert (Bob) D. Flora

Robert David Flora of Anderson, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023. He was born February 23, 1943 to Elmer and Edith (nee Neese) Flora in Anderson.

Bob was a member of UAW-662 and was employed by General Motors at Guide Lamp and Delco Remy for 37 years.

He enjoyed billiards, basketball, softball, coaching and umpiring little league baseball at Madison Avenue.  He enjoyed songs by Elvis Presley and was an avid fisherman.  In addition, he was always considerate and kind and always put the needs of others before himself.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his seven grandchildren; Grace, Viveka, Garrison, Samantha, Cooper, Delilah, and Sydney Flora.

Bob will be missed dearly by his wife Deena (nee Hanna) Flora, his loving wife of 59 years; and his four sons, Jason (Beryl), Spencer (Pam), Arron, Garrett (Amy) Flora.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jim, Elmer & Arnold; sister, Bernice; and beloved daughter-in-law, Susan. In lieu of flowers, Bob and Deena’s favorite charity is the local Salvation Army.

Visitation will be held at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory in Anderson, Indiana, Saturday, April 29th at 10 AM, with funeral service to follow at 12 PM.
