Robert Wesley "Bob" Collins, 84, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on May 16, 2025, at Alexandria Care Center. Born on June 21, 1940, in Gary, Indiana, Bob was the son of Harry and Marion Collins.
Bob graduated from Crown Point High School in 1958, and after that, he dedicated a part of his life to serving his country as a First Sergeant Military Police in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1967. He later married his soulmate, Judy Salmon, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter.
Throughout his career, Bob made a name for himself in the banking industry, primarily at the former Anderson Banking Company. An active member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Bob found community and purpose in his faith. He also loved spending time outdoors, whether it was mowing the lawn, woodworking, playing golf and tennis, or enjoying a swim.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Collins; One daughter, Dawn (Michael) Smith; Three step-sons, Brian Condon, Bradley (Dawn) Condon, and Kurt (Suzanne) Condon; One step-daughter, Vicki (Jim) Biggs; Bob is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; One sister, Bonnie Collins; a great-grandchild, Jocelyn Leigh Condon; his Father-in-law, Pete Mroz; and his mother-in-law, Lorene Mroz.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11:00am at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, 6805 Dr. MLK Jr., Blvd, Anderson, Indiana 46013, with Pastor Darrell Gilbert officiating.
Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel has been entrusted to the services for Bob.
