Robert “Bob” Aaron White, 85, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2024 surrounded by his family. Bob was born on August 10, 1938 in Waterview, Kentucky to the late Robert Gilliam and Alice Ainslie (Norris) White. He married the love of his life, Barbara Cantrell, and the two were married for 58 years. Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1964. After his time in the military, Bob started working for General Motors as a Skill Trades Machine Repairman. He found his spiritual home at Eastview Church of the Nazarene and was a faithful member for many years. Bob loved spending time out in the garage, tinkering with cars and tractors. He collected die cast cars and knives. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob will be dearly missed by his wife, Barbara; son, Brent White; grandchildren, Allison White, Taylor White, Bruin (Abree) White, Hudson White, and Brooklyn White; sisters, Marcella (Tom) Maxey and Jean Carson; brothers, Doug White and Anthony (Arlene) White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wendell White and Marcus White; and his in-laws.
The visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
Due to severe allergies, please refrain from sending live flowers to the funeral.
