It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard (Rick) "Porkchop" Patrick Winkle, a beloved father, partner, and friend, who left us too soon on October 20, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on July 27, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Richard spent his later years living in Anderson. Known for his hardworking spirit and hands-on approach to life, Richard was self-employed in the construction industry, where he built not only structures but also lasting relationships with those around him.Richard is survived by his life partner, Beth Martin; his wonderful daughters: Christyana (Wife, Ashlie) Bolin, Ericka (Husband, David) Wenger, Ashley Winkle (David) , Alexa Able, Brandey Kendall; who were the pride and joy of his life; his former wife, Sherry Bevel; Grandchildren, Sarah, Mason, Ava, Eli, Ali, Logan, Ayden, Amyia, Ariya, Awliv, Carson, and Caitlyn; 1 great grandchild on the way; uncle, Jerome "Jerry" Winkle; and father-in-law, John Ehman. He loved his many granddogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Joyce (Adams) Winkle .In keeping with Richard's laid-back spirit, funeral services will be held from 3-4 pm, Friday, October 24, 2025 at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street Anderson, Indiana with Pastor Joe Roysden officiating. A visitation will follow from 4-8pm. Everyone who knew Richard is welcome to join us in honoring a remarkable man who touched so many lives following the visitation at a location to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection League or Madison County Humane Society. Rest easy, Richard. You'll be dearly missed but never forgotten.
