Rev. Dr. Paul G. Krebs

February 19, 1939 — June 9, 2025

Anderson, Indiana

Rev. Dr. Paul G. Krebs, 86, went to his eternal home on Monday, June 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sylvia (née Schulties) Krebs, and is survived by his loving family: son Mark and his wife Renee; son Philip and his wife Heather; two cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha; and step-grandson Tristan Stout.

Paul was born in West Point, Nebraska, to the late George and Marie Krebs, and was the beloved brother of the late Johanna Meyer. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will sadly miss his gentle presence and wise counsel.

Paul was a man of unwavering faith who dedicated his life to serving God and His people. Throughout his ministry, he was a mentor to many and strived to be a living example of God's love in action. Preaching God's Word was both his passion and his strength, and he found profound joy in being able to step up and help someone in need in whatever way he could.

His legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. His gentle spirit and dedication to God's work will be remembered and cherished by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his ministry.

A devoted student of theology, Paul was a graduate of the seminary at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska, and later earned his Doctor of Ministry at the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. His commitment to lifelong learning and spiritual growth exemplified his dedication to his calling.

Paul faithfully served as Pastor at several churches throughout Indiana, where he was thought very highly of by his congregations. His ministry included St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camden, Resurrection Lutheran in Indianapolis, First English Lutheran in Mishawaka, Peace Lutheran Church in Connersville, and St. John's Lutheran Church in Anderson. At each church, he touched countless lives through his compassionate leadership, thoughtful sermons, and genuine care for his parishioners.

Paul's visitation and funeral service will be held at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel. Visitation will be Friday June 13th, 2025 from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Services will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Douglas Gast officiating. Burial will follow at Grovelawn Cemetery.
