Randy Johnson

Randy Johnson, 63, of Anderson, left us on May 18, 2026, following a brief illness, surrounded by love, and his devoted wife, Beth, by his side. Randy was a true character, known for his humor and passion for life and family. He loved his beautiful dog Angel and was a genuine animal lover through and through.

An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Randy could often be found kayaking, fishing, and exploring nature in search of arrowheads and unique rocks. He had a special fondness for state parks, festivals, and powwows, where he celebrated his rich heritage as a proud member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes. Randy held his traditions close to his heart and cherished every moment spent honoring them.

Professionally, Randy was a heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers, where he took great pride in his work. He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Beth Johnson and two children, Kyle Johnson and Amber Thompson. Randy was also a beloved brother to Willow Diaz, Janice Irving, Danny (Juanita) Johnson, Justen (Jordan) Johnson, Karen Little, Patti Martin, Shelly Park, Karen (Derick) Phillips, Jeff (Alicia) Robinson, Crystal Shuster, Linda Vandiver, and Janice (Bob) Young. He also adored his many nieces and nephews, whom he lovingly referred to as his "young little warriors."

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Grace Johnson, as well as his siblings, Juanita Jacobson, James Wunder, Jeannie Antoine, Carol Finley, Barbie French, Tina Wingender, and Pete Johnson.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dr. Malik and the caring staff at Community Hospital for their support during Randy's time of need.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013 with Natural Green Burial following at Maplewood Cemetery in The Grove in Anderson.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the funeral home.
