It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phillip “Phil” Wayne Hagan, who left us on May 29, 2025, at the age of 75. Phil was born on July 4, 1949, to Joseph Sanford Hagan and Mary Lou McDonald (Davis).
Phil was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy, and later dedicated decades of his life to working at General Motors-Guide Lamp until his retirement. Known for his adventurous spirit, Phil loved riding his Harley, and he was an active member of the Coon Hunters Club. He cherished his time spent out in nature, whether it was coon hunting with friends or riding his horses after he built a beloved horse barn.
He was a friendly face at the Chesterfield American Legion and a respected member of the Veterans of Madison County. Phil was a passionate gun collector, and his enthusiasm for life touched everyone around him.
Phil is survived by his daughter Stacy McCord; his sister, Julia Hagan; cherished grandchildren: Analiese (Austin Masters) McCord, Alice Castor, Tristan McCord, and Luke McCord; great-grandchild, Paisley McCord; step-daughter, Brooke Castor, and his best friend, Bill Randolph. he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborah (Mingle) Hagan, his parents, brother, Shane Hagan, and step-son, Joey Castor.
Per Phil's request Cremation Rites will take place at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
