Peggy Ann Harrington Stennis Rucker, 76, of Anderson, passed away February 17, 2017, at Community Hospital North. She was born June 28, 1940, in Gholston, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Annie (Westerfield) Harrington. Peggy retired form Guide Lamp after 25 years of employment. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, baking, knitting, crocheting, decorating her home and Kingdom Hall and taking care of her baby sister and grandchildren. She was an active member of the Watchtower Society and consider them her extended family as well. She is survived by her children; Patricia Stennis, of Anderson, Michael (Seta) Stennis, of Indianapolis, Ozelee (Regina) Stennis, Tommy (Belinda) Stennis, Dorothy Brown, Audrey Stennis, all of Anderson, and Jimmy (Latashia) Stennis, of Fort Wayne; brothers and sisters; Jane (Johnny) Johnson, Willie Harrington, Martha Pierre, Nancy Flowers, Don Wayne Harrington, Beatrice (Roy) Huston, Sally ( Gerry) West and Mary Ballou; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; special friend and ex-husband Ozell Stennis; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Rucker; parents, Wilber and Annie Harrington; step mother, Callie Bates; son, David J. Stennis; brother, Wilbert Harrington Jr.; sister, Bobby Harrington; grandson, Rodney Nance Jr., and a great grandson, Kevin Peak Services will be Noon, Thursday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Elder Tim Smith and Rev. Michael Stennis officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Post online condolences at brownbutzdiedring.com
