Mr. Patrick O. Downey

Patrick O. Downey, 86, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born April 10, 1933 in Elwood and a lifelong member of Madison County. He retired from Delco Remy in 1992. Patrick is survived by his children, Shari Downey, Patricia Downey, & Jeffery Downey; stepson, William (wife, Nancy) Lawson, Jr.; sisters, Donna Partain & Juanita White; grandchildren, William Lawson III, Jesse Lawson, & Lori (husband, Tim) Gentry; great grandchildren, William Lawson IV, Travis Shaw, Cole, Julia, Felix, & Atticus Lawson; and great-great grandchildren, Natalie Lawson & Ivan Murello. He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Patty (Moore) Downey; parents, Arthur & Marie (Miller) Downey; siblings, Ruey Flowers, Kathleen Stanley, Nina Goodwin, Arthur, William, & Larry Downey. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
