Patricia Joann Sharpe

Patricia Joann Sharpe, 87, of Anderson, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was born March 17, 1929, in Anderson, the daughter of the late Elmer and Josephine (Licher) Smith. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and later, was a member of St. Ambrose Parish. Patricia is survived by her son Tom Hamilton, of Anderson; sisters, Mary Ellen Hickner of Fishers, Rita Elaine Chezem of Plainfield, Betty-Ann Myer and Jeannine Kempher, both of Anderson; step-son, Rick (Mary) Sharpe of Bloomington; step-daughter, Vickie (Larry) Kennedy of Anderson; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman M. Sharpe; 3 sisters; 4 brothers; and Henrietta Hamilton, whom she viewed as her second mother. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Services have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
