Norma Jean Buck, 95, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on March 13, 2026.

Norma Jean was born on January 31, 1931 in Rossville, Indiana, the daughter of Dale and Eva Gaylor.

Norma Jean married the love of her life, Phil Buck, on April 6, 1950 and spent sixty-eight memorable years together until his passing in 2018. Their marriage was a testament to love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Norma Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took great pride in supporting her husband during his teaching and coaching career. Known to many as the perfect coach's wife, always standing faithfully by his side.

Norma Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phil Buck; parents, Dale and Eva Gaylor; brother, Don Gaylor; and grandson-in-law, Craig Brunnemer.

Norma Jean is survived by her two sons, Larry (Vicki) Buck and Joe (Connie) Buck; grandchildren, Keri Brunnemer, Morgan (Sean) Rooney, Megan (Mike) Bouvat, and Whitney Buck; great-grandchildren, Madison, Payton and Hailee Brunnemer, Maddox and Elliot Rooney, and Michael and Max Bouvat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pendleton and will be remembered for her quiet faith and strength, devotion to family, and the love she shared with all who knew her.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Sarah, Kelli, Natasha, and the hospice care staff at Paradigm Health for their compassionate care.

In accordance with the families wishes, private graveside services will be held for the family at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
