Ms. Nancy Nell Wood

Nancy Nell Wood, 86, of Pendleton, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis.She was born July 2, 1931, in Martinsville to the late Harry & Vadis Cora (Hobson) Hart.She had worked as an LPN before dedicating her life to her family. Nancy was a long-time member of Ovid Community Church, where she served on the church board and was a member of the Mary Martha Circle. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and of The Garden Club of Pendleton.Survivors include children, Roger Wood, David (wife, Donna) Wood, Dan (wife, Laura) Wood, Joy Wood, and Brady Wood; stepdaughter, Penny Ginley; grandchildren, Heidi Wilson, Cory Wood, Shannon Harshman, Alicia Lowe, Jaclyn Wood, Jaycey Wood, Tarrah Greenwell, Daulton Alford, Brooke Alford, and Ryan Ginely; several great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Buzz” Wayne Wood; and several siblings. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Keith Wooden officiatingVisitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lahm Chapel.Memorial contributions may be sent to the choice of the donor.
