Though her time here was far too short, Murphy Brooks Ellis, age 4, filled the lives of those who loved her with a lifetime of precious memories, endless smiles, and a love that will never fade. Born on July 7, 2022 to parents, Chris and Taylor (Layman) Ellis, Murphy was a sweet, joyful little girl whose smile could light up a room.
She found happiness in the simplest things in life, and those who knew her will forever cherish the little things that made her so wonderfully unique. Whether she was enjoying her favorite applesauce pouches, playing with her big brother, or exploring the world around her, she brought a special kind of magic to every moment.
She loved being outdoors, taking walks through the park, and wandering along nature trails. She enjoyed watching her favorite cartoons, especially Bluey, and she had a love for music that was impossible to miss. She loved to sing and seemed to know every word to every song.
More than anything, Murphy loved being close to the people she loved. She treasured being held, cuddled, and wrapped in loving arms. Her happy smile, warm hugs, and beautiful spirit made even the most ordinary days feel special. She had a way of spreading happiness without even trying.
Although her life was heartbreakingly brief, the love she gave and the happiness she brought will remain forever in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Left to cherish these precious memories is her parents, Chris and Taylor; big brother, Grayson; grandparents, Ginna and Wayne Nuckols, Delena Schultz, and Bruce Burton; great-grandparents, Geneva and Neal Hoffman; uncles, Nick and Kinzie Ellis and Thomas and Christina Schultz; aunt, Stephanie Ellis; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Patrick Woodward.
Four years was not nearly enough time. There were so many more songs to sing, walks to take, cartoons to watch, cuddles to share, and memories left to make. But the love she gave in her four short years will never be measured by time.
Murphy will forever be her family's precious little girl, her big brother's beloved playmate, and a beautiful light whose love will never be forgotten. She may no longer be held in her family's arms, but she will always be held in their hearts.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our little girl.
