Judith Ann (Wallace) Samuels, 76, of Anderson, passed on March 30, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Anderson.
She was born September 2, 1945, in Anderson, IN, the daughter of the late Robert Dewey and Zeffie Mae (Copeland) Wallace. She lived in Anderson all of her life and was a business owner and homemaker.
Judy grew up in the era following WWII in a modest household where she learned the meaning of a strong work ethic, taking care of family, and being a strong-willed and independent woman. Judy raised her children and was a supportive co-owner of businesses with her husband John.
She enjoyed tending her vegetable gardens and loved growing flowers in her backyard. She could never pass up a bargain, scouring the local area for antiques and collectables. Judy also loved having her toes in the sand of Florida beaches whenever possible. Most important to Judy was spending time with her eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her two sons, Richard Lavon (Maria) Shirley Jr. of Vienna, VA, and Timothy Edward Shirley of Anderson; two daughters, Rebecca Jo (Mike) Webb and Elizabeth Ann (John) LePhew both of Anderson; one Step-son, Robert Lee (Diane) Shirley of Huber Heights, OH; her sister, Tobitha June “Susie” (Robert) Spangler of Anderson; her brother, Ronald Gerald (Janis) Wallace of Largo, FL; eight grandchildren, Katherine Shirley, Chelsea Deitch, Rachel Phipps, Christina Phipps, Cortney LePhew, Joshua LePhew, Heather Kobayashi, and Danielle Bone; Eleven great-grandchildren, Annellie, Everett, Atlas, Kaidence, Bayleigh, Deliah, Bently, John, Caiden, Xander, Aubree; One great-great granddaughter Annabella, and several nieces and nephews.
