SHIRLEY- Miriam R. (Mottweiler) Heath, 93, of Shirley passed away April 29, 2026, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

She was born February 18, 1933, in Alexandria, Indiana to the late Victor and Roberta (Stahl) Mottweiler and lived as a farm wife most of her life near Markleville and moved to Shirley around 2010.

In addition to being a homemaker Miriam worked at Sears and Roebuck Stores in Greenfield and Anderson for 10 years as well as the Recorder’s Office at the Hancock County Courthouse for five years.

She was a graduate of Alexandria High School and attended Anderson Business College. Miriam was a member of the Wilkinson Church of Christ and The Literary Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur L. Heath; sister, Vicki Sayre; and a brother, Morris Mottweiler.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Wallace of Shirley, Jeanine (Mark) Goodnight of Atlanta, Indiana and Daniel Heath of Wilkinson; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Bruce Mottweiler of Niles, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Condo Chapel, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson with Pastor Tony Darling officiating.

Visitation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at Condo Chapel, Wilkinson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
