Mildred K. Cox, 79, of Yorktown, Indiana passed away on September 18, 2026, at Bethel Pointe in Muncie. Born on December 14, 1946, in Anderson, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Ervin Sr. and June Alfreda (Shetterly) Leisure.
Mildred was a devoted homemaker and dedicated ten years to working in home health care. She had a passion for puzzles, crafting, and spent countless joyful moments with family and friends. Her love for her pets and her generous spirit shone through in everything she did-she was always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or gift her handmade creations to others.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Vickie) Cox; her grandson, Brandon (Amy) Cox, along with her great-grandson, Brycen. She'll also be remembered by her brother, Michael (Cathy) Leisure, along with several nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Irvin Cox, whom she married on May 15, 1965, and who passed away on April 11, 2016. She is also reunited with her parents, two sisters, Deborah DeLong and Jovita Allen, a brother, Harry E. Leisure Jr., and two half-brothers, Gary Hall and Larry Hall.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, located at 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013. Pastor Gary Klinger will officiate, and burial will take place afterward at Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton.
