Michael Thomas

Michael R. Thomas, 64, of Anderson, passed away December 7, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.

He was born December 20, 1949, in Anderson, the son of Raymond and Norma (Critser) Thomas and has been a life long Anderson resident. He retired from Guide Corp in 2005 after 36 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Thomas of Anderson; two sons, Chris (wife, Rhonda) Thomas and Chad (wife, Cherrish) Thomas both of Daleville; daughter, Kim (husband, Kevin) Huff of Daleville; step son, Christopher Irle (fianc�, Allison Freel) of Seattle, WA; step daughter, Stefanie Mier of Anderson; grandchildren, Austin Thomas, Brad Thomas, Michael Thomas, Hannah Huff, Hayden Huff, Joshua Thomas and Austin Mier; brother, Roy (wife, Lindie) Thomas of Anderson; sister, Cindy (husband, Jeff) Howard of Huntington; several step brothers and step sisters and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Eytchison; father, Raymond Thomas and step father, Ralph “Cowboy” Eytchison.

A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Jason Howard officiating.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
