MaryKay Crawley

August 17, 1942 — August 7, 2026

Noblesville, Indiana

MaryKay Crawley, 83, of Noblesville, Indiana, left us on August 7, 2026. Born on August 17, 1942, in Peru, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of the late Glen and Oma (Stephen) Stephenson. MaryKay was a beloved teacher at Franklin Central High School and had a true passion for shaping young minds. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Indiana University, a testament to her dedication to education.

MaryKay was the kind of person you could always count on for a warm chat over coffee. Everyone who knew her would say she had a heart of gold and an infectious spirit. After many years of teaching, she joyfully transitioned into being a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family with love and devotion. Later on, she enjoyed her role as a substitute teacher and took great pride in helping raise her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

An active member of the Southport Presbyterian Church and Southport United Methodist Church, Mary loved being involved in her community. She also had a zest for life, participating in the YMCA Silver Sneakers Exercise Club and warmly welcoming new residents as an Ambassador for Five Star Residences on the independent side.

MaryKay is survived by her son, Chad (Lauren) Crawley; her daughter, Cathy Day; and her beloved grandchildren, Iyana, Journey, Ira, and Isabella. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jere Crawley, her parents, and her brother, Gregg Stephenson.
