Mary Elizabeth Flatt

Mary Elizabeth Flatt, 97, of Muncie, passed away on October 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on March 15, 1929 in Maysville, Kentucky to the late George and Charlotte "Lottie" (Featherkile) Holland. She married the love of her life, Bedford D. Flatt, and the two were married for many years until his passing.

Mary found her spiritual home at St. Mary's Catholic Church and had been a faithful member for many years. Mary enjoyed shopping, collecting spoons, and Barbie Dolls. Most importantly, she loved her family and was a selfless caregiver to all those around her. Her warm smile and golden heart will be terribly missed by everyone.

Left to cherish her memories is her children, Viki (Larry) Harness, Jennifer Flatt, and Mark Flatt; and her grandchildren, Taylor (Gabe) Milligan, Jozlynn (Israel) Ayala, Emma Ade, Jordan Flatt, Jessica (Matt) Williams, Brent (Aimee) Flatt, Kelly Harness, Mateo, Rhett, Maverick, Axel, Ethan, Zack, Ryleigh, Charlie, Abigail, Hannah, Vanessa, Nathan, Markie B., Birkley, and Bodhi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Rick Flatt, Rocky Flatt, Mick Flatt, Dick Flatt, Nick Flatt, and Tami Clay; and her siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be taking place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 302 E. 11th Street, Anderson, IN 46016. She will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery following the Mass. Mary's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
