Mary L. Dickerson, 96, of Anderson, born November 27, 1928, in Anderson, Indiana, went to be with her Lord on May 17, 2025.
Retired from Delco Remy in 1987, Mary spent her retirement years independently volunteering. She was involved in Al Anon for about 40 years and served as Al Anon's District Representative during that time. She also served as President of Kilbuck Retirees for several years.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene where she was very active in Seniors on the Go. She loved to travel and play games with her loved ones and especially enjoyed playing Euchre at the Geater Center. She was a member of the United Auto Works (UAW) union, Local 662.
Mary is survived by her children, Bruce Lee (Diana) Dickerson, Cheryl Kay Dickerson, and Anna Marie (Tim) Riley; grandchildren, Aaron (Lisa) Dickerson, Andrew (Andrea) Dickerson, Adrian (Melanie Head) Brashears, Lindsay (Matthew) Newell, Justin Tallant (Sarai Trinidad), and Krissy (Hunter) Rogers; great-grandchildren, Cody Dickerson, Drew Vaughn, Holly Vaughn, Blake Dickerson, Scarlett Brashears, Damien Brashears, Boyd Newell, Piper Newell, Collins Rogers, and Van Rogers; and siblings, Esther Arnold, Lenny (Karen) Turner, and Laura (Ron) Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Turner; beloved husband of 48 years, Richard B. Dickerson; and sisters, Rosalie K. Watson, Beverly Jean Snider, and Donna Falls.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN, 46013.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Al-Anon Family Groups, American Cancer Society or The First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson.
