Mark A. Thompson

Mark A. Thompson, 66, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2023, at Northview Health & Living, with his Aunt, Kay Thompson, by his side.

He was born April 7, 1957, in Union City to the late Robert & Larie (Moore) Thompson.

Mark grew up in Union City, but moved to Pendleton for his Senior year in high school. He was a Veteran of the United States Army in the Paratrooper division as a Combat Engineer. After serving in the Army, he held many jobs including truck driving,  construction, lawn care, and handyman businesses.

He was a devoted son who took care of his parents in their later years.

Mark was preceded by his sister, Melissa Wigger.

He is survived by his sister, Martisha (husband, Duane) Webb; nieces, Christina (Keith) Himelick, Rachel (Micah) Himelick, Marjorie lane, & Elisabeth (Mark) Heskett; nephew, Jordan Webb; 10 great-nieces & nephews; and his uncles, Garner (Nancy) Moore & Gene (Charlene) Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. A private burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
