Marian (Faye) Baker of Anderson, Indiana passed away on July 2, 2026. She was born March 3, 1933 in Owensboro, Kentucky, but has resided in Anderson most of her life, having relocated from Knoxville, Tennessee.
Marian retired from the office of Dr. Fred Spotsville in 1998 after 18 years as a receptionist and transcriptionist. She returned to work later as a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care and retired for the second time in November of 2013.
She was a dedicated and caring public servant at heart and more recently had been volunteering at United Way. She was a faithful member of Cross Roads Global Methodist Church, where she was very involved; she loved the Indiana Pacers; her family; and was a caregiver to the very end.
Marian, like her sister, had a fondness for the three B's (butterflies, blooms, and birds). She got great enjoyment from walking at Shadyside Park just to commune with nature. She was a firm believer that nature was never wasted.
She also enjoyed watching sports on television, namely the Pacers and UK Basketball. When the time was right, she would enjoy watching the Tin Caps baseball team in Fort Wayne with her family.
She loved going on picnics in the summertime with family and she could plan and put a picnic together at a moment's notice.
Left to cherish her memories is her children, Randall "Randy" Baker and Maggie Mattingly; daughter-in-law, Lori Baker; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Archie (Richardson) Beloat; husband of 37 years, Ancy Baker; son, Barry Baker; and sister, Martha Jo Gordan; and a brother, Collier Beloat.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 3pm at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St. Anderson, IN 46013 with Rev. Gary Cable officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home on Saturday.
