She poured her heart into her work and took pride in giving her very best. With her wisdom, gentle words, and genuine warmth, Maria had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved.
Maria leaves behind her devoted husband, Lazaro Romon Romero; her beloved children, Walter, Lizette, and Vanessa; her loving parents, Jose and Trancito Amaya; her treasured grandchildren, Yamilet, Anastasia, Craig, and two precious blessings on the way, Richie and Rico; her dear brother Saturnino Parada; and a large, close-knit extended family. To her family, Maria was so much more than a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother-she was their guiding light, their steady anchor, and their source of endless love and strength. She touched countless lives with her kindness and grace, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. Celebrations of life will follow on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM and forward at South Meridian Church of God, 2402 Meridian St., Anderson, IN 46016. Maria will be laid to rest at East Maplewood Cemetery, where she will be surrounded by love for eternity.
