Marcia Kay Mills

Marcia Kay Mills, 84, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness. 

She was born on September 22, 1941, in Noblesville, Indiana to Samuel Max and Ava Mae (Wooden) Stoops. She was a 1959 graduate of Lapel High School. 

She was a homemaker and loved being a farmer's wife. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed quilting, mowing and just being outdoors.

Marcia is survived by three sons, Brian (wife, Tonya) Mills of Anderson, Kevin (wife, Marlene) Mills of Brownsburg and Scott (wife, Katrice) Mills of Anderson; four grandchildren, Cameron Mills, Bailey (Alex) Boles, Dalton (Christina Ni) Mills and Caleb (Bryttani) Mills; a sister, Joyce (husband, Steve) Chappel of Fortville; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Velma Kluesner; and a brother-in-law, Charles Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married October 6, 1962, Donald J. Mills; her parents; and a brother and sister-in-law, Jonathon Max and Kathryn Stoops. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Charlie Soden officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel. 

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the funeral home.
