Mr. Luther Lee Flatford

Luther L. Flatford, 78, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. He was born February 28, 1942 in Maynardville, Tennessee to the late, James Henry & Stella Inez (Ridenour) Flatford. He married Betty L. Peace in Maynardville on December 21, 1959. He worked for the water department of the City of Anderson, having retired after 42 years as a foreman. Luther is survived by his wife, Betty L. Flatford; son, Ronnie (wife, Andrea) Flatford; daughter, Angelia Ice; grandchildren, Bethany Wire, Corbin Flatford, & Sara (husband, Jake) Steinhardt; great grandchildren, Freya Steinhardt & Rosaland Wire; siblings, Carl (wife, Kathy) Flatford, MacArthur “Mac” (wife, Wanda) Flatford; sisters-in-law, Louraine Flatford & Beulah Garrett; and brother-in-law, Clifford Slaven. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ollie Jo Slaven, Orpha Mae Patton, Geneva Sexton, Pauline Bailey, Stella Flatford, & Edna Ruth Flatford; and brothers, Conda, Wardell, John Thomas, Samuel, Henry, Ruble, & Junior Flatford. Private Services were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial was at East Maplewood Cemetery.
