Loretta Jean Fox

Loretta Jean (Allen) Fox, 90, of Pendleton, died July 30, 2025, at her home.

She was born in Anderson, Indiana on September 23, 1934, to the late Robert James and Ruth (Stern) and was a longtime Pendleton resident.

Loretta Jean retired as a cafeteria worker from South Madison School Corporation. Previously she had started her career with Anderson Community Schools. She was a cafeteria worker for over 30 years.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Greenfield where she was past president of the Women’s Missionary League; member of Spring Valley Quilt Guild; and enjoyed her children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sports activities.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Fox who she married, October 7, 1950; children, Wayne E. Fox (Jan) of Markleville, Robert “Bob” E. Fox (Beth) of Anderson, Terry L. Fox (Polly) of Greensburg and William “Bill” Wihebrink (Judy) of Pendleton; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Diane Curless and Karen Roam (Carlos); several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Keith Allen, Bill Allen, Jim Allen, Madonna Gann and Linda Smith; and brother-in-law, Charles Curless.

Visitations from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 and 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church, Greenfield.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 W. Mckenzie Road, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 with the Pastor, Rev. Wm. Daniel O’Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
