Lois Hallett

Lois Hallett, 86, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on October 5, 2026. Born on March 18, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, Lois had a challenging start in life when she lost both her parents at a young age. However, she was raised by her grandparents.

Lois was a proud graduate of Anderson College and Ball State, where she earned her master's degree in teaching. She dedicated many years to inspiring her students as a foreign language teacher at Lapel High School. Her love for her students was matched only by her affection for her grandchildren and her faithful dog, Barney.

A devoted and faithful woman, Lois found her spiritual home at South Meridian Church of God, where she cherished her time spent in Bible study with friends.

Lois is survived by her children, Dr. Richard (Leslie) Hallett and Cindy (Grady) Beaty; One brother, Dale "Pepper" Young; Grandchildren, Luke Hallett, Ben Hallett, and Anna Hallett; Two nephews, Michael and Louie Young.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Richard, and one brother, Jim Young.

Private services will take place and Lois will be laid to rest at East Maplewood Cemetery.
