Linda May James

Linda May James, 85, of Anderson passed away on July 18, 2025 surrounded by her family. Linda was born on March 29, 1940 in Anderson to the late Paul Lee and Eva Mae (Chambers) Haynes. Linda married the love of her life, William Thomas James, on September 10, 1955 and the two celebrated 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2022. Linda found her spiritual home at Liberty Grove Baptist Church and was a faithful member for many years. Above all else, Linda loved and adored her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her children; 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, David James and William Thomas, Jr.; brother, Larry Lee Haynes; and nephew, Michael Haynes.

Private services have been conducted.

Linda's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
