Lillian Frances Jones passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025 in Greenfield. She was born on September 19, 1939 in Farmer City, Illinois to Edgar and Rita (Wilson) Conley.
Lillian married Paul Junior Jones on March 8, 1959 in Indianapolis. The couple made their home in Pendleton, Indiana, where they spent their married life until transitioning to a nursing home in later years.
Lillian is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Cathy) Jones and Jay (Stephanie) Jones; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Michelle) Jones, Aaron Jones, Jessica (Daniel) Sparks, and Emily (Aaron) Young; and two great-grandchildren, Conner and Easton Jones. She is also survived by her sister, Eva Burton of Springfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Jones on August 9, 2025; her parents; and her brother, Carl Conley.
Lillian graduated from Greenfield High School in 1957, where she swam and played basketball. She was deeply involved in 4-H as a longtime Bicycle Leader. She helped judge the first Bicycle Rodeo contest at the Indiana State Fair. Lillian also served as the coordinator of the 4-H Jr. Leader kitchen during many Hancock County 4-H Fairs.
Lillian had a creative spirit- she loved painting ceramics, collecting angels and elephants, and spent many years as an Avon Representative.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Mendon Cemetery, corner of State Road 9 and County Road 1050 S in Pendleton, IN.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Lillian's memory to, Hancock County 4-H Jr. Leaders, 972 E. Park Avenue, Greenfield, IN 46140.
Lillian’s services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory.
