Laverne H. Castleman

LaVerne H. Castleman, 98, passed away on November 16, 2017 at Marquette Manor in Indianapolis. She was born on July 30, 1919, in Boone County, Indiana to the late Orville and Ruth (Ragsdale) Hancock. She is survived by her daughter, Georgianna (Harry) Garloch of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Julie (Bill) Hendley of Indianapolis; grandson, Duane (Cindy) Garloch of Westfield; and brother, Charles Hancock of Greenwood. LaVerne was preceded in death by her three husbands, George Thomas, David Tappen and Elbridge Castleman; granddaughter, Theresa Garloch; two brothers and three sisters. Services will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013, with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
