Larry R. Spoo, 66, of Anderson, IN passed away on March 31, 2022 after a sudden illness. Larry was born on August 19, 1955 in Anderson, IN to the late, Robert F. and Ida F. (McDonald) Spoo. Larry married his loving wife, Rada Bugby, in Anderson and had many glorious years together. Larry attended and graduated from Madison Heights High School, where he excelled in baseball, often times, pitching many no-hitters. He had many jobs during this lifetime, including, the Anderson Airport, Emge Packing, and Nicholson File. However, Larry worked for the Dovey Corporation in the shipping and receiving department for over 25 years. He was an extremely hard worker and never missed a day of work in over 25 years. Larry was an avid bike rider and would often times ride to different cities, just to say he could. He loved gardening and would spend many hours in his garden, this is where he felt closest to God. Larry also loved fishing, tennis, basketball, and baseball. He was a kind and patient man, never having met a stranger. He was also an animal lover and loved spending time outdoors. Most importantly, Larry loved his family and friends and spent as much time as possible with them.
Larry will be dearly missed by his wife, Rada; his daughter, Amanda Chilcote; his step-daughter, Keisha Buntin; his step-son, James (Beth) Peters; his grandchildren, Reagan, Carter, Shane, Maddie, Devon, James, Prestyn, Da’Sia, Destiny, and Trinity; his 2 great-grandchildren, Leviticus and Apollo; his twin brother, Terry (Irma) Spoo; and his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be gifted to the Down Syndrome Foundation.
