Kent Leroy Urey Sr.

Kent L. Urey Sr., 71, Lapel, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at his residence in Lapel, Indiana following a extended illness.He was born on March 5, 1948, in York, Pennsylvania to Robert Urey Sr. and Helen (Hunt) Urey.He was a retired driver.Kent served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Lula (Kindley) Urey of Lapel; children, Stacey (Bryan) Richardson of Anderson, and Kent Urey Jr. of Lapel; brother, Robert S. (Maria D.) Urey Jr. of Edinburg, Texas; sisters Rita A. Shotzberger of York, Pennsylvania, Lisa K. (Mark) Grossman of Sharon, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Michael Achenbach Jr., Nicholas Stephens, and Braden Richardson. Kent was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kent was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rae Kauffman.Cremation was chosen.Services have been entrusted to the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St. Lapel, Indiana.
