Karl Lewis Fowler, 67, of Ft. Wayne, formerly of Pendleton, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at his residence in Ft. Wayne following an extended illness. He was born on January 9, 1957 in Anderson, Indiana to Kelly Fowler and Catherine (Ward) Fowler.
Karl attended both Pendleton Heights and Lapel High School. He later went on to trade school and was a Pipefitter for General Motors for thirty nine years. Karl also worked for Westfield High School as a softball coach and Pendleton High School as a soccer and softball coach. He was very involved and enjoyed volunteering for the Pendleton Little League. Karl also was a member of the National Rifle Association and the UAW 2209. Karl was an avid sports fan, especially baseball. With this being said, the family requests that you wear your favorite baseball jersey or sports gear to the funeral home to honor Karl.
Karl is survived by two daughters, Kari (Paul) Robinson and Kasey (Kevin) Jones; Two brothers, Kelly Lloyd, Jr. and Kerry Lynn; Three grandchildren, Kooper, Kollins, and Marcel; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Mary Lou Fowler, brother, Kurtis Leroy, and sister, Cindy Fowler.
Visitation for family and friends will take place from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
A funeral service will follow visitation at 4:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Drury officiating. Following the service military rites will take place.
