Karen Sue Hallmann

Karen Sue Hallmann, 83, of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2024. She was born on November 2, 1941 in Lebanon, IN to the late Floyd and Iola (Dick) Kelley.

Karen received a Master of Arts in Education degree from Ball State University. She went on to work at General Motors-Delco Remy in Accounts Payable. 

Karen was devoted to Christ Lutheran Church where she loved worshiping the Lord. For many years, she enjoyed singing in the choir. 

Karen is survived by her children, Nancy (Frank) Shaw, Steve Hallmann, and Suzanne (Greg) Richter; grandchildren, Sarah (Chad) Fagan, Rachel Wagner, Drew Richter, and Daniel Richter; siblings, Carroll (Gail) Kelley, Linda (Jerry) Berger, and Vicki Bostic, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 61 years, Melvin H. Hallmann; parents Floyd and Iola Kelley; and siblings, Chloris Timmons, Maurice Kelley, and Dean Kelley.

The visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2751 Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN, 46012. The funeral ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM at the church. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Christ Lutheran Church. Services have been entrusted by Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
