Julie M. Topsoglou

Julie M. Topsoglou, aged 62, of Mooreland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, after a brave battle with a sudden illness. Born on December 22, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert N. and Vaotta J. (Thomas) Hockaday.

After completing her high school education, Julie dedicated her life to the beauty industry as a hairdresser for over 40 years, showcasing her passion and talent. For Julie, her clients were not just customers; they became family.

Known for her stubborn as hell, yet vivacious personality, she was the life of every party, able to light up a room with her infectious smile and keen sense of humor. She enjoyed her moments on the beach, blissfully content with her toes in the sand, a fancy hat, a pink flamingo and the sunshine warming her face. Julie approached life with a zest that inspired those around her, dancing like there was no tomorrow to her favorite tunes and embracing each day as though it were a celebration.

Julie is survived by her dear niece/daughter, Brittany (Jeramiah) Lawson; son, John Thomas Topsoglou; daughter, Jorian Eve Topsoglou; great-nieces and nephew, Melanie Martindale, Sydney Martindale, and Landon Lawson; her dear cousins who were more like siblings; and each and every friend that Julie made, whether they were old friends, new friends, coworkers, or clients, Julie held a special place in her heart for them.

She was preceded in death by her parents. and her brother, Thomas Hockaday.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Julie not just for the struggles she faced, but for the love she shared and the lives she enriched with her kindness and beauty expertise. May her memory be a blessing.
