Joseph R. Perry

Joseph R. Perry, 90, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Harbour Manor Care in Noblesville following an extended illness.

Joe was born at home on June 1, 1935, in Perkinsville, Indiana to Samuel Ray and Mary Christina (Moore) Perry. He was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson after more than 40 years of employment. He loved open-wheel sprint car racing and he traveled all over the country to watch the races. He was a mechanic and enjoyed building and working on sprint cars. Joe especially enjoyed driving sprint cars. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Noblesville and the Lapel Eagles Aerie #4323.

Joe is survived by his son, Bryan (Jenny) Perry of Greenwood, a grandchild, Morgan Perry also of Greenwood and grandson-in-law, Jake Speitel of Kokomo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, Madison Perry and Jordan Perry-Speitel and a great-grandchild Baby K Speitel.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, IN 46051, with Donna Gadient officiating. Burial will follow at Knights of Pythias IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Melanoma Research.
