John Thomas Veach, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Thomas Veach, Jr., a beloved son, husband, father, and pappaw, who left us on May 31, 2025, in Anderson. Born on June 7, 1952, John cherished his deep roots in the community where he spent his life.

John was a dedicated husband to Tanna (Huffman) Veach, celebrating an incredible 50 years of marriage, and a proud father to Michelle (Michael) McGuire. He was the proud pappaw of Krozlee and Maezy McGuire, always cheering them on from the sidelines as they played sports.

After graduating high school, John worked for 30 years as a Die Setter at General Motors. In his free time, John loved the outdoors—whether it was bass fishing, deer hunting, or going camping and boating. His laughter and spirit will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

John is survived by his wife, Tanna Veach; mother, Oleta (Beaty) Veach; He was preceded in death by his father, John Veach, Sr.; brother, Gary Veach; as well as his in-laws, Wilbur and Betty Huffman.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, located at 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson. Following the visitation, a service will be held at the funeral home at 7 PM, led by Pastor Mike Barker. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate John's life together.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Department of Natural Resources in honor of John's love for the outdoors.
